Would we be better off now

If we had sacked Worthie in November 2004 as Derby have sacked Davies for a similar record in his first premiership year?
My guess is that we would probably still have been relegated but would not have made such a pigs ear of our post relegation era and would certainly be much better off than we are now. The major damage was done by Worthie- Grant just put the nails in the existing coffin. The Board`s major mistake was not to sack Worthie after the relegation season.
