A close friend of mine got an absolute major bollocking from a school in (I think) Taverham.

She is atheist, but as a primary school teacher was forced to teach the nativity, etc. She didn't complain about this and happily went on to do her best. However, she made the innocent mistake of telling the kids that Jesus' father was a carpenter, while the headmistress was observing the class.

She was absolutely shocked by the reaction left soon after and now works at the Larkman primary funnily enough !

OK, she didn't get lashed. I read that article again and came to the conclusion that the teacher shouldn't have been lashed either. The kids chose the shortlist, so those little bastards should have got it.
