I think he realises

that on this site there are many senior gentlemen with great experience with the female sex - malkybarkid, otto foxtrot, scc28, brandonio, arganth etc - and taking their advice could help him achieve a long lasting relationship with a member of the opposite persuasion. Something that has eluded most of us whose best friend is the internet.
