Speaking of Anabaptism, have you read 'Q' by 'Luther Blissett'? Quite an interesting novel - the Blissett lot were obsessed with three-sided power struggles (hence their adoption of three-sided football) - it's all about the Anabaptist movement during the Reformation, and their interaction with the Lutherans and the Catholic Church.

Quite radical stuff, and very funny - well worth a look IMO.
