take a piece of paper and cut it in half.
discard one half of the paper.
take the remaining half piece of paper and cut it in half again.
discard one half of the two new halves.
repeat until the paper is exactly one molecule by one molecule in size (some trimming may be required if the original piece of paper was not a perfect square).
cut the piece of paper in half (put some safety goggles on first)
