would you play Paddon or hucks on the left?

i never saw paddon play, but people seem to feel that he was a more rounded player than hucks - less pace, but better passing and crossing. Is this right? Sentimentality aside, would Paddon really make more of an impact at this level in the modern game than the blistering pace of Huckerby?
