I've got two (grown up) sons. One played colts football, the

other colts rugby.
At 11, the one paying football was playing in a competitive league with all the shouting bollox mentioned above. He soon got pissed off and stopped, even though he was a good player (gave Chadwick a run for his money in one game) and hasn't played since.
The rugby one just had coaching and played fun friendlies. He has played rugby ever since captained Ely and plyed for the county. He is now also coaching county 14 year olds and absolutely loves it.
