what was wrong with the pitch?

for all the crap talked about it (and the fact that it LOOKED sh*t) it clearly played OK. Croatia showed that you could control and pass the ball perfectly well on it. Let's not use it as an excuse for our players' technical limitations, which (as always against decent opposition) were ruthlessly exposed last night.
