Wow, do you have to be a member of the BNP to oppose ID cards?

I had no idea, I thought you just had to object to the invasion of the rights of the individual by the state (or else take the pragmatic view that governments always f**k up (a) in implementing big IT projects and (b) in dealing with sensitive personal data).
