The Matthaus for Bayern in '93 was bad enough. The utter laughing stock by Euro 2000 defied belief! Incredible how such a great player and, at one point, gentleman (it was him who wandered around the devastated English players in Turin, offering genuine warmth and respect) turned into such a joke.
