This timing argument

This was made time and time again RE the Worthington saga. Now almost everybody agrees the board held on to him too long, and yet so many people, including many posters on this board, were asking/calling to give him more time, and shouting down the disenters (Charles21 springs to mind). Does no one ever learn from history?!?!?! There reaches a point when enough is enough. Your argument at the moment, that a protest is bad timing, as the club needs backing to boost up the league falls down, as I ask you, what the hell have the fans been doing for the last 3 months?! That's right, supporting the team. It hasn't exactly worked has it? A protest now will make zero impact on our performance on the pitch as it can hardly get any worse. A protest now, if forcefully backed (and I must say it isn't looking very likely), whilst it can't itself cause change, it will make things uncomfortable and maybe precipitate change sooner.

There's no denying that this board, for the past three years, have made a series of shocking decisions - the list is almost endless. Change IS required, and whether it happens sooner or at the end of the season, it MUST happen. We are in the worst position we've been in for over 45 years. A bit of perspective is required.

You might like Smudger at all. But that is no reason to side with a board which has put us in a potentially disasterous position.
