Probably, but not the company I worked for...

...they hire the top science / mathematics graduates they can find from all over the world (i.e. "rocket scientists"). If they do well, they earn a mint. If they make a mistake, they are fired immediately with no hard feelings - they pay up the rest of your contract, but don't bother coming in again.

Mind you, they are not brokers but simply trade purely for themselves and only deal in derivatives.
