For me, us going to the premiership hasn't taught us anything about what we were good at

and is now punishing us for failing to not see from those mistakes

If we drop into league one, we'll 'have' to look to the academy, whilst in recent years we've snubbed and ignored them, sending them out on loan, or in a lot of cases having no faith in them

The one of two that do come through, appear to get above themselves as something they aren't, and then go through bad patches through their own unprofessionalism

I can only think they get like that because we offer them good deals, better deals than they deserve to keep them in line with the rest of the squad

For some reason, most players here seem to hold the same attitude and the drive in playing just ceases to exist

The time when we have a load of kids thrown in at the deep end, and a time when 4-5 youngsters work hard for each other because they realise if they do they keep playing in the first team and not the reserves, is the next time we'll see progress I think

I hope Roeder is youth orientated, because I think the current youngsters have sat in the reserves too long and we need to nurture the next few and give them a dream about actually getting into the first team, and not just giving them professional deals, then playing them against Grays reserves, then allowing them to leave for barnet wycombe or whoever offers them a chance to shine

The day we let Hayes go was around the time we began to ignore youth, crow was another. Jarvis was given too many opportunities and I never saw anything he did positive
