Techies - Joomla advice please

I'm asking here because I know I get sensible and prompt advice! *gaffaw*

Anyway, I need to get up to speed with Joomla PDQ. Any fellow geeks on here had any experience with it and know of any good resources for tutorials etc. they can recommend?
