What happens if a bid is made for an Ebbsfleet player, or if the club enter negotiations to sign someone? With each demand made by any prospective signing, will the 24,000 joint owners have to vote every time? Or will they choose someone to 'represent' them? If it's the latter, the whole project's probably as doomed as Communism...
I follow a non-league side which is up s**t creek, running out of money and hasn't had its own stadium for over 16 years - but I have to say I'm relieved this little experiment's being performed on Ebbsfleet, rather than Wealdstone (the club where Stuart Pearce, Vinny Jones and Jermaine Beckford all started out). I'm also bemused that Ebbsfleet - already at their highest position in their history (I'm including the old Gravesend and Northfleet in this) have agreed to such a gamble. Fascinating to see how it turns out - but it's utterly bizarre if you ask me.
