Fair play to you for hanging on this long: I'm not proud of it but I packed in a long time ago. OK I was always Aways Only and that's historically usually been a bit tough, but it wasn't the rare good results that put me off the waste of my hard-earned, it was the lack of anything resembling NCFC football, certainly post-relegation.

I scampered eagerly to Preston this season 'cos I wanted to look at Brellier but dear God we were so tedious to look at - and it's been that way for a couple of seasons now. Shuffle it over here, shuffle it over there, maybe a welly upfield.

I remarked in the chatroom a few weeks ago that it's awfully easy to find an excuse to bale recently, and then after some thought remarked that I can barely remember feeling motivated enough to have a proper sing (after the initial welcome onto the pitch). Not proud of those, either.

I'm astonished you put the miles in as long as you did, and bet you'll do it again at the first sign of encouragement. I might, too, but a while after you, I suspect.
