True, you can spin most manager's stats around to fit an argument. 45 per cent win rate vs getting sacked a lot is one of them.
But it does seem strange to me that the very people who moaned about Grant ranting on the sidelines could have thought mad dog Martin Allen was the answer. He's just Grant, three jobs on, surely? And if you really want to go down the stats route:
Barnet - got them near the top but buggered off and they lost in the play off semis
Brentford - got them to the play offs twice but didn't actually get them up before resigning
MK Dons - got huge financial backing (for that division) and again lost in playoffs. they're now top.
Leicester - four games and apparently the squad is really poor (he bought 14 players over the summer)
is that a particularly amazing record of success? I'd rather Roeder, I think.
