Pro-Roeder points (sort of):

1. When I heard it was Roeder, I have to admit that my heart sink, what with his previous record. But then I was livid when we appointed Worthington (whose managerial record was even more miserable) and he dug us out of exactly this sort of s**t.

2. At least he's not a complete arsehole, or some chasm-gobbed lunatic.

3. At least he's not Graeme Souness.
