Time for a reality check?

Not playing the little old Norwich card Delia style, but how realistic are a few of the posters on here being? I'm not over the moon about Roeder's appointment, but he's probably the best available candidate at the minute.

Anyone who thought we were seriously a contender for the likes of Jewell was a bit naieve I reckon, because:

- we're not a big ambitious club
- we're not a big draw, too far out in the provinces
- we're in a pile of debt with little realistic hope of investment decent enough to buy us out of the current position
- we've never appointed big name managers with a top reputation (the "biggest" appointment we made was the still novice O'Neill)

Roeder's a decent seeming bloke, who must've come across well to the decent people running our club. He's got good contacts, and a point to prove after a pretty poor end to his 2 previous jobs. Fingers crossed...
