50 Applicants

I've been thinking about the 50 "quality" applicants that have reportedly been received by Norwich. Given that there are 92 clubs in the league, 20 of which are premiership, it is safe to rule those 20 clubs out, as their managers will not be clamouring to come to us. That leaves 72 clubs in Championship, Leagues 1 and 2. We can probably rule at least 12 out of the Championship, West Brom, Watford, Ipswich, Stoke, Southampton, Palace, Wolves, QPR, Charlton, Leicester, Colchester and us (obviously) leaves 60 clubs, from which there is supposed to be 50 quality managers applied. Now I know this does not count managers currently without a job, but realistically there are not many of these, but there ain't loads of quality managers in the lower leagues. So, where does the 50 come from? Maybe we have not had many applications at all, and that is why it is talking getting on for 3 weeks to find somebody?
