but if you look at the starting lineup and the subs that came on today it is clear they have the ability to do better:
Marshall - can't really blame him as he kept us in it. Scottish International and ex Celtic.
Otsemoboer - Brought up at Liverpool and was in the League 1 PFA team last season.
Shackell - Used to be promising and performed well for us in the Prem season.
Murray - Another International player who played for on of the Old Firm sides.
Lappin - Up until this run he was one of our most consistent players and showed good quality on the ball.
Spillane - along with Martin is our brighest young hope. In the Repuplic Under 21 squad.
Russell - After leaving us last time had 2 very decent years in the CCC, was the league's player of the month at one point last season.
Smith - Chelsea player. Nuff said.
Hucks - used to piss on this league and still could on his day.
Martin - was a revalation last season and this was due to be his year.
Cureton - top scorer in the CCC last season in a newly promoted side.
Croft and Chadwick both have prem experience aswell.
So it is clear the players are capable of playing to a much better standard. So the question is why are they not performing. It is easy to blame the management but surely there has got to be a point when the players need to take a long, hard look at themselves and accept some accountability?
