I think it's more that Staunton's people have sounded us out, to be honest

I noticed Mick McCarthy in particular defending Stan to the hilt just before he was sacked. If we've been in touch with Stan's people, it will most likely have been via Mick's chums at Wolves - it's possible, but I'd be pretty pissed off if it happened, and I imagine most other Norwich fans would too.
