That is exceedingly odd. Leaving aside whether or not he's been a success or a failure in the past, nobody's touched him for, what, a year.... which I put down to the same reason i guessed at Nigel's lack of an immediate job after us, in that The Football World recognised that he'd made a colossal bollocks of his last job and were shying away accordingly.

But for Bolton to chase him so persistently suggests only two possibilities to me: one, that their board is concerned that they may have a problem with palyer power and see Smeggs as a man who won't stand for it, or 2) they're f**king skint.
