Pathetic crowds when saunders took us up - you are joking

Over 36000 on a number of occasions I think you'll find. The crowds were more variable those days so you could get 36000 one week and 18000 a week later. That was probably more indicative of the nationwide attitude to football then. perhaps the punters were more discerning then.
