I might be alone - but I'd actually be reasonably happy if he gets the job. When Hull appointed him, he was VERY highly rated - and his failure there seemed so freakish that I'd like to think what he achieved at Colchester is a lot more indicative of his ability than what he didn't achieve at Hull. Incidentally, barring Chris Kamara at Stoke-type meltdown, and assuming we don't make a ridiculous appointment, I'll probably want our next manager to stay even if we go down. Whoever it is can't be held responsible for our shambolic state when he takes over - and Parkinson, of course, at least has a proven record of success in League One.
Elsewhere, I'm told Staunton is still a serious candidate, sadly - and a poster on the PinkUn is convinced he saw Ole Gunnar Solksjaer in London with a Norwich City director. Hareide's assistant if he gets the job?
