Teams do slow down and lets weaker teams in. Its a learning process, a reminder of the need for focus in big games and yes issues that could be discussed and worked through on the training ground, the video of both halves could be shown to team afterwards, but all this does not and should not be public. JC had only just come to club and was brought in to score goals, to publicly critisise a player for trying to do just that can only undermine them.
Look at fergie at man utd with ronaldo. When ronaldo was first at the club he would aragantly do step over after step over and inevitably f**k the cross. But fergie didn't come out and say Ronaldo great skill but plays like a t**t, he used more tact. PG had all the tact of a house brick
