I'm visiting here in January - the undercurrent is unbelievable. Have been twice before

and both times have heard horror stories about people drowning.

The local fisherman reckon you should just go with the tide until you are beyond the rip and not fight it.

Then hopefully someone will see you waving your arms like a loon.
