Its going to be Duffy but I really wish it wasnt

I cant help but thinking that the board are a bit naive when it comes to hiring a manager.

I dont care how a manager comes across at an AGM or how many soundbites he can come out with.

I met Grant, as I am sure a lot of you did, and he came across very well. That doesnt mean that he is going to be a good manager though does it.

I think the board are impressed with the way that Grant and probably Duffy come across.

I honestly dont think that you can hire a manager on how he comes across in an interview. I know that may sound ridiculous but I would like us to pick our manager on his record and make the interview more about whether he really wants the job.

We ended up with Mclown as national manager this way because he interviewed better than someone like O'Neill.

Fuck soundbites, lets get the best man for the job or we will be here again this time next year, only it will be in a different division.
