Gentlemen!
My understanding is that Chris Coleman has been offered the Norwich job. Of course, the press would have a field day if he took it - but I can't see it happening. Surely it'd only be a Premier League club (ie. Bolton) he'd be prepared to leave Sociedad for, or just possibly the Welsh job if Toshack quits? Still, at least it shows the board are being ambitious: he'd be a terrific appointment if it happened.
But as for Littbarski... I can see why it's excited some fans, but good grief. This club is in more danger of relegation to the third flight than at any time since 1960: we have no money, and little quality. Sorry, but we need someone well versed in shovelling the s**t, and working with nothing: where is his experience of English football? You might also like to know that Pierre has touted himself for other jobs in the past - including, in the ultimate sign of a desperate man, Hearts.
And there's a golden rule here: people link themselves with jobs in order to get their names on the footballing radar. But the best managers wait to be offered it - and I'm afraid Littbarski is not one of the best managers. From where I'm sitting, it looks awfully like Martin Allen is still the frontrunner, largely because Norwich is the best job he's likely to get at the moment: no-one else who's realistic is showing up on the radar.
