Fact is we needed the extra seating to progress long term, so that was a must

But as for the other such assets well I don't know. I'm no financial expert but it does worry me a lot when we must have made a lot from that season in the prem, on top of making a few million from the profit on the ashton sale, which we must have made at least 2-3m on, and how it has all disappeared so quickly.

Sadly we're not the only team who've been in the Prem in recent years who are suffering though.

Look at Palace, Sheff Utd just last season, they've spent heavily on the team and still they're struggling at the wrong end of the table.

Fact is that to even compete at the top half of the Championship now you need a fair amount of financial backing.

Barry Skipper was very correct in what he said the other day about Norwich. We either have to push to become a Prem team and say there, or we aim for mid table Campionship team from here on.

He also stated that in years to come you're going to see about 25 teams always making up the Premier League because some really wont be able to comoete. That looks like happening sooner rather than later, so if we miss the boat this time then it may never come back to our shores again.
