Theres two names I never thought I'd link.
Littbarski would be a good move in terms of pulicity and possibly getting more fans onside. It would at least show some sort of ambitiona nd the presence of Crook would make it harder to take against them. My worries are a) he knows nothing at all about English or probably even european football at our kind of level - both him and crook have been in the far east for years. b) winning a world cup doesn't make you a good manager. I lived next door to Alan Ball for a few years. I don't think his managerial career was anywhere near as bad is its sometimes made out to be but I think its fair to say he'll be more more remembered as a player.
Famous players can be good/bad or indifferent managers. Ince looks goood (so far) Robson utterly inept.
As for Pulis.....well I'm torn. I think you could guarantee we'd stay up. It would just seem such an uninspitring negative appointment. Awful football and the ambition to be a mid-table championship team playing awful football.
Sadly from where we are thats an imporement......
I think Pulis would be an unpopular appointment though and would need to start winning ***fast*** to get rid of the negative vibes around the place as I don't think he'd get much time.
I'd like to see us really push the boat out. The manger is the MOST important person at thje club by miles. I'd rather pay over the odds to attract a decent manager even if it means a smaller transfer budget.
