Yes he scored lots of goals from the bench.
Point was, though, the manager never rated him enough to start him. Or indeed enough to want to keep him after they went down.

And no other prem manager rated him enough to take him on ahead of us (and we all know he would have leapt at the chance to go back to the prem rather than stay with us).

Fair or not, he was not rated as a premiership success. Otherwise he would have stayed there. And the same thing is happening at Derby (so far).
