1. Is able to motivate the players?
2. Is an astute tactician?
3. Has made mainly good signings?

If the answer to all of these is "No", which unless you are COMPLETELY BLOODY INSANE must be the case, then question 4 must be: Have you and the Board learned from your mistake in clinging on to a manager too long? Last night, like most of this season, was hopeless. And how about, for about £15,000, refunding the QPR admission costs?
