"I love being on the coaching field with the players"

I think that quote from Grant in the EDP is very telling. Like many others before him ( Brian Kidd), he MAY be a very good coach. However, the difference between managing and coaching is a real step change and some are just not up to it (Dixie Deehan being a prime example for us). I think that Grant like Worthy before him is a decent bloke who is honestly doing the best he can but is sadly not up to the job. Before last night I would have given Grant until Xmas to turn it round, but on last nights evidence I see no signs that he has the ability to turn things around or that the players are prepared to battle for him. The players to must shoulder a large part of the blame as they do not seem to be giving 100% and THAT, is unforgiveable.
