In truth though, the headline on Waghorn's site in his preview of the game - that it was "twist or bust" for Grant - is the real key here; and in the piece above, Chris Lakey quite clearly comes off the fence and points the finger subtly at the manager.

And sure, certain senior players aren't really pulling their weight - but that's because good players respond to good management. Instead, they've had their confidence shot to pieces by a managerial team wholly out of their depth. Result? The players will stay; the manager will go.
