That movements are afoot, and the Turners probably aren't willing to back a manager who they played no part in appointing, has been apparent for some time now. Presumably, Balls and the Archant news/sportsdesks are getting bits of info from the club and/or the Turners too.
Thing is though, however wealthy Andrew Turner or indeed Peter Cullum are, what makes us assume they'd just throw money at the team if they assumed a controlling interest of the club? Isn't it equally plausible that they'd try to run it as a hardnosed, profitable business, and not spend over the odds on players?
