If it isn't - it damn well should be. But if the questions include 'Where has the money gone' the real answer will be Players, player's wages, staff, agents, security and other overheads. Oh, and running a whuge white elephant at Colney which seems to churn out players perfectly capable of playing well for other clubs but not NCFC. And the last part of the jigsaw is servicing a crippling and ever increasing debt as our increasingly desperate attempts to sign someone who can actually score goals (or stop them being scored) continue. Instead of radically cutting our cloth to suit our means, we cut it to suit the continually over-ambitious desires of many of our more vocal supporters.
Grant out ? Yes - and when we got rid of NW (at great cost) we should have hired a manager within our means. When will we learn that a big name = big bucks, but not necessarily any kind of success. Take on a lower league boss - even non-league. Hungry, ambitious and cheap. And do the same for the players. There are plenty out there. AND STOP SIGNING BLOODY EXPENSIVE MIDGETS. A good big 'un will always beat a good little 'un. We have signed so many 5'6 players, when 6' is the mean. And finally, stop dealing with agents. They are a blood sucking curse along the lines of estate agents. As soon as a player mentions an agent, don't sign him. If he wants the job, the player will come. Too many have just wanted the money and give little back on the pitch.
Oh well, end of rant. The hotel aircon is off here for 3 hours, it is 34C outside and up to 29C in my room. Perhaps it is making me a tad irritable. Rant ends.
