Treading water at best

Lost some real quality (Saffers and Earnie), got rid of some real dross (Thorne, Hughes, Bobinson)

Have cut wages but have got less money

Manager talks a good game but tactics seem more "blackboard dreaming" than based on what the players he's actually got can do well

Certainly not making much progress, anyway
