The first doubts crept in when we didn't get a centre-back by the transfer window. Real doubts started at Rochdale where the fact we sneaked through on penalties masked one of the most clueless and inept performances i've seen from a City team for many years. Incidentally that was the moment that I realisd that our plyers can't play 4-3-3. It appears that penny has still not dropped for PG.
Unformtaunately the last few games (and the fact i've not seen us play well this season in any game) mean i've now lost patience. its harsh on Grant because its not entirely his fault but he was not the right man for the job at this moment in time. If you've got no resources then you need someone with experience and tactical nous as manager and, more importantly who the players respect and want to play for. I don't think we have that at the moment. I'm not sure about Joe Royle but I do think we need someone of that ilk or we could be in real trouble. If we change it now there is still time for this season to be salvaged. By Christmas we could be deep ina relegation battle.
If I was the board I would throw as much money as possible at Paul Jewell. I accept its unlikely he would come but you never know.
