Peter Grant

My first ever post one here as I feel so strongly about this.

Grant is so tactically inept + inexperienced, he has been talking about having competition for places all over the pitch since he joined us which to be fair we have apart from RB/CB. BUT he persists in banging round pegs in square holes such as Simon Lappin, (who i feel have been one of the best of a bad bunch this year). Grant is payed to manage and that means making tough decisions, ie when Hucks was fit it was either 'sorry Darren, Simon has got the shirt and you are going to have to work to get it back or Sorry Simon you have been excellent but I need some more attacking threat from Hucks. But what he does instead is play Hucks and Lappin out of position in CM, basically not making a decision based on tactics.
This then disrupts the CM berth by putting a player in there who should only ever play there is you have an emergency and no one else!
Then when Drury is injured at Wolves instead of playing Lappin at LB he them plays another player eg 'Murrey mint' who already had a mare at Rochdale there!
Together with his tactical deficiancies he obviously cannot motivate his players and his constant 'crazed animal' impression on the touchline must be more ditracting for the players than helpful.
Although I noticed yesterday he was yelling and pointing right up until SW scored but after that was a quiet at a church mouse with arms folded, JUST WHEN THE TEAM NEEDED SOME ENCOURAGEMENT AND ADVICE!!!
The reason...... He didn't know what to do.
He then comes on Radion Norfolk and contradicts things he has said weeks before, 2 examples 1 When he first came here 'Huckerby needs to do his defensive work too'. At end of season when hucks was scoring and attacking well 'I have never asked Darren to defend' Example 2 last night 'If I have a choice between winning and playing well or just winning i will take winning every time' After Barnet game he berated the team and players for winning 5-2.
I have never disliked a manager as much in my 25 years of going to CR as much a Grant and he needs to go now if we are to be saved from a relegation dogfight.
Plenty of people blame, criticised Worthy but remember when he took over he saved us from drop and the next 3 seasons we had exiting football play offs, 8th completing to nearly end of season and Champions.
I agree he lost the dressing room at the end and it was his time to go but what I wouldn't give for one of the exiting and entertaining first years in charge as opposed to our current angry Scotsman.
Final thought, why does he need to point out during his rants where people should be and what they should be doing, that is what should be sorted out all week at colney if not why not? From the touchline he should be just motivating and or encouraging not sorting tactics as this will distract players from doing what they should be, also I have never seen him clap or praise any player during a game it always negative/critical.........Funny that!!!!
