A few weeks pre-season training under and with Grant, he must have thought of his experience, then looked across and thought of Grant's experience and thought, "...s**t, my reputation is going to go downhill if I'm coach under this idiot..." -off like a shot to Watford and, in Bothroyd, a decent Manager.

Must have also wondered why the hell Grant got appointed as Manager ahead of him!
