Is Lappin so good that he can't be dropped?

He was dreadful today yet Hucks is getting all the stick for having the temerity to tell the truth and not be playing great at the same time.

We won a title with Hucks on the left. Would it not be sensible to play 4-4-2 with Hucks, Russell, Brellier/Spillane, Croft and try to attack teasm in a conventional manner.

If Lappin really must play he could always play left back in place of the similarly seemingly undroppable Drury, which is, after all, his proper position.
