... Must, surely, be the board's thinking on this. He needs, I'd suggest, a minimum of four points from the next two games. Don't get me wrong, I totally appreciate how tough this job is, and what constraints he's working under - but no way is he making the best of a bad job, and in any case, it just makes the board's failure to get in someone with a proven record last year even more incomprehensible.
I'm aware of the possibility he might even go right now - but to those who want him to stay, ask yourself this: how would you feel if you heard he'd gone? Gutted? Or relieved? This is the worst Norwich City side I can ever recall - and for the first time since 1995, I think we are facing a season long dogfight which we could well lose.
