This narrow last minute League Cup third round defeat away to an underachieving big city Premier League club who play in blue was preceded by two of the most staggering away 'performances' (sic) in living memory, at Luton and QPR - after which calls for the manager's head began. The apparently spirited nature of the display at St Andrews apparently bought him some time - but who did we play next? Sheffield Wednesday, at home. And I'm sure I don't need to remind you what happened there...
