... And forming a Super League, so UEFA had little choice. It's sad, but it's the way things are now I'm afraid. I agree the UEFA's been woefullu devalued - mind you, it was only ever strong because the European Cup was ridiculously weak. Aston Villa, Champions of Europe after finishing 10th? Liverpool, just having to turn up and beat some minnows from Luzembourg or Finland in the first couple of rounds? Bring THAT back? Why?

And the UEFA is still at least worth winning. Spurs or Newcastle fans would go potty if their team ever won it; Feyenoord's did likwise when they did 5 years ago. And Bayern Munich are in it this season too - so it's still worthwhile, just not what it was.
