"Remote Desktop" or "Terminal Services"

something like that - Microsoft stuff that comes free with Win XP - somewhere in Control Panel -> System you can say "Allow Remote Desktop Connections". I think "Remote Desktop" is the newer name for what they used to call "Terminal Services"

I use it all the time to connect to servers, connect to my laptop from my desktop, connect to machines at work from home.

Failing that you can install stuff called LogMeIn User Posted Link (I think) that does it too.
