Grant`s mitigation

doesnt in my view wash. He has probably spent more money since he came than all the championship teams apart from those who were relegated. It is no his team with players that he has purchased. Many of those players performed well for other teams ( Strihavka and Cureton being the top scorers last year in their respective divisions; Otsomebor - the !st divison`s right back player of the year; Russell a consistent performer over many years at Stoke; Brellier a cult figure at Hearts- I could go on) . The historical evidence is that these are good palyers. It is the job of the management and coaching staff to get the team playing to the best of their abilities. Grant and Duffy are clearly failing. Rather than criticise the players and bemoan the lack of funds ( he has spent them all) he should be putting his own management and tactical style under scrutiny.

Th buck sytops with the management. If Grant and Duffy were the day to day operational managers of the Turner`s business they at worst would be out by now or at best on a deadline to improve.. The Turners have been brought in to add their business nous. Perhaps it is time for them to apply their own business principles to this situation.
