We truly were awful yesterday - the few players to come out with any credit whatsover were Marshall, Doherty and Brown. It was actually embarrassing to see the display we put on.
When Grant started we were told he'd look to win every game, but having seen the last two 'performances' I'm not convinced at all.
Tuesday's been discussed already but from the first whistle yesterday we sat back, the first time we had a controlled touch in their half (as in, not just a flick on) was just before the half hour mark - we were, in short, feeble. To have one 'shot' in a game against a side that was beaten by Hull midweek and in front of a crowd we know are susceptible to turn simply isn't good enough.
I'm starting to think that perhaps Grant is another Brian Hamilton - talks an excellent game, having had the opportunity to speak to him prior to the Coventry home game last year the man is certainly passionate and has a real drive to win.
BUT, perhaps he's not the one to take us forward - maybe he's born to be an assistant rather than a manager? At the end of the day it's the home results that determines a manager's fate - that was the reason things turned ugly with Worthington, us that travel away saw long before those that don't that there was something rotten within the side.
In Worthington's favour we won our home games, we lost eight at home last year (the most since '93/'94)...
