Credit card - making purchases from overseas

3 months ago I bout about £300 worth of sports goods off a german website. Bloke sent me a scan of the receipt & the goods duly arrived. However, when credit card bill arrived several weeks later it did not show this £300, nor on the subsequent months statement. 5/6 weeks ago I bought another £200 worth and the latest bill has come through and again, it was not showing.
I'm assuming the german people are getting their money ok, otherwise they'd have contacted me.
Anyone have any idea what may have happened & how long I have to wait until the credit card company can't ask me for the money (ie do they have to bill me within 3 months of the transcation or something)?
