problem controlling a ball

when it is played to him , in common with Ashley Cole and Rio Ferdinand - first touch is awful , Ferdinand looked dodgyu early on ( only watched first 20 minutes ) and was easily beaten bythe winger

I thought the russians were unfortunate to have that "goal " disallowed - very dodgy handball /ball to hand
